Dr. rer. pol., Fred Hantelmann, diploma in mathemathics, is actively working in the Unix and Microsoft area since 30 years. Since 1992 he is working with Linux. In 1997 his book „Linux für Durchstarter“ has been released at Springer publishing house.
As a CIO of a big marketing research company in Germany he has implemented the interopeability of Mac OS and Windows with the help of Linux. During his activity as head of development at a cluster start up he has released his own Linux distribution. He focussed on Red Hat distribution and the Rocks Cluster technology, which he has translated to IMP Power PC and Apple Power technology. Since 2012, he is working as an external architect for a big IT service provider.
For the last 20 years, he has releases more than 180 publications on various IT topics. Since 8 years from now his main focus is virtualization across server-, client-, presentation-, application-, network- and storage- virtualization.
